Weekend Fun

Friday LeRoy surprised me with these gorgeous flowers...just because:) I was amazed this morning when I saw the difference once the Lillies had bloomed. These are some of my favorite flowers.

Yesterday we joined Dallas and Tara in Chihuahua to celebrate Tara's birthday. The plan was that us girls would go for pedicures while the guys took the kids to the mall to play or skate at the indoor rink that's there. We met at the pedicure place at 11...

This last week has had record lows here in upper Mexico which has led to MANY frozen water pipes meaning so many people have been without water..as well as without electricity. So when we arrived for our pedicures we were told they still had no water which meant no pedicures. That was a huge bummer. So we decided to all go to the mall and try some skating with the kids. We got to the mall and were surprised at how cool/cold it was inside..we were glad the kids were all wearing winter jackets. And to find that the skating rink is no longer up and running. We started to laugh thinking what else we couldn't do that we wanted to do.

We started brainstorming and figured the guys and kids would go play at the play structure that is in the mall, and Tara and I would go shoe shopping. It was successful..at least for me:) We then met and wanted to go for lunch...the restaurant was only opening in 20 mins...so we had some Starbucks and donuts as appetizers and just waited. After lunch we last minute decided to all go see Yogi Bear which of course with the kids is so exciting to go to a theater and have coke and popcorn:) And that ended our adventurous day of figuring out what to do when the original plan doesn't work.

It sure was a great day!!!
