Okay, so I didn't realize it had seriously been THIS long since I last wrote so time to catch you up with us:) I realized the last post mentioned Nolan's fever. Thankfully he woke up feeling much better the next morning so it was a good start to the day. I have to say we have 3 young little travelling troopers who all did AMAZING all 3 days of driving. Nolan needed a few more breaks out of his car seat but otherwise we really didn't need to stop for breaks which is a huge bonus. Emma could have literally sat in her seat the whole day staring out the window doing nothing and without a pee break. We had a great uneventful trip and we just can hope the next trip end of June is just as great...full of fun memories:)
So since we've been back 2 weeks tomorrow what have we been up to? The first week was helping get ready for my brother's wedding. It was a busy week but at the same time so relaxing hanging out, helping out family and being home. The wedding went beautifully and our 2 flower girls made us so proud as they walked down the aisle.
This past week had us slowly moving into our "home" here in Steinbach and we spend our first night here yesterday. We enjoyed more time with family and met up with some friends yesterday to start catching up with each other and our growing families. We are so excited to see more of you again and visiting much more yet. We also loved being back in our home church of EFC here in Steinbach on Sunday. We were so blessed by many of you as you welcomed us home. We felt like we fit in...which is such a strange feeling. haha
It's been amazing to see this home (which is home to LeRoy and I) through the eyes of our kids really for the first time for them. Simple things that we take for granted are so new to them. 1. We were driving on a gravel road and Brooklyn asked why there was smoke. So we had to explain that it was actually dust. 2. The girls walk in a house with dirty shoes on. So we have to explain that in Canada we take our shoes off at the door. Those are 2 examples, there have been many more I just can't think of them right now. And it took them 2 weeks to get used to the idea of putting the toilet paper in the toilet. Such a strange concept.
Well, that's maybe long enough for today. Plus my mind is running a blank now that's totally quiet in the house. Tomorrow we'll be doing prep for our church presentations:) We'll be speaking in our church on the 12th so we have a lot to do to get ready. We are hoping to get lots done with that tomorrow, and of course for some more fun..swimming!!
