Time for a Real Update...

What a few weeks it's been. It's been such an emotional roller coaster and God is just amazing. We truly feel we saw a miracle with finding our new home and I just want to share a bit how it came to be so you too can see God's hand at work.

6 months ago we, as a team, felt it would be a good idea for us to move to another coto, which would fulfill our initial strategy of ministry, that each of us families would be in a separate gated community, allowing ourselves to gain contacts, friends, and opportunities within 3 cotos. About 3 months ago we started looking and there was just no housing available. We looked at one house but they wanted renters right away and we needed to wait until September at the earliest.

4 weeks ago we, as a team, agreed that we all felt peace that we would not move after all since no house in this area was available and the deadline for our rental contract was up in a week. The next morning LeRoy called our landlady to set up a time to renew our rental contract in that house. Within 5 mins he received a call from our realtor saying they had a house for us to see just down the street, in the one coto LeRoy had all along had a sense about. That afternoon we looked at the house and decided we would be moving after all.

Within one week and 2 days, we had all papers signed for the new house, and to leave our old house AND were moved in....yes that includes ALL packing in that time too...we had not begun packing earlier.

I think that last statement alone can show how crazy of a week it was. I look back already and don't know how we got through it...especially our kids. Our kids did AMAZING through this transition..Emma had a difficult time last week, but now is loving it here. Brooklyn transitioned WAY better than we could have ever expected, which in itself is a miracle, and Nolan figured the whole thing was just a party day after day.

It has been a very difficult month for us through all this transition, which also included a field visit from our EMC Board of Missions, which meant meetings during the first week in our new home. I can't count how many times I have broken down in tears, but I know those tears were helpful too. Now it's feeling like "normal" life can kinda begin again, and hopefully soon we can make time to finish unpacking the last few boxes, organize this house into a home, and get some things on the wall...bit by bit.
