Yesterday Nolan was 6 months old. Wow the time has flown. Nolan is now enjoying several veggies and fruits on top of his cereal. He is a stubborn boy, or just a huge momma's boy, because for 3 weeks now we have struggled with him not taking a bottle once a day. If he wants to eat that's his only choice...only one a day can't be too difficult can it? Apparently it's a huge deal because he hates it. After an hour we can finally get him to drink 2-3 oz whereas he would probably drink 6 normally. He took it fine for a couple days 2 weeks ago, and now it's back to fighting it. He'll have to learn sooner than later. He's so fun to cuddle as the girls were not nearly as cuddly as our little man, and I realized yesterday how much he loves when we have to change his diaper or clothes....that small window of a chance to be naked. haha The girls were not like that either....is it a boy thing? We sure are loving having a boy around.
Brooklyn has been doing much better again health wise thanks to her new allergy meds she has to take every morning and every night. She 3 different meds she needs to take for 3 months, and one extra just for the times her cough may be extra bad. But we haven't heard a cough from her in a couple of days now thankfully. She continues to LOVE school, and is excited to be getting ready for a special program on February 14. She gets to be a giraffe (got measured and everything for the costume) and is practicing her dancing and choreography for the song "In the Jungle, the might jungle, the lion sleeps tonight". Yes in English. Her school is bi-lingual so this is the annual program for family, so the kids can show off some of their English I guess. Seeing her excitement for this daily is sure getting us excited to see the show.
Emma has been doing great, and really amazes us at times with what she's learning..by obviously watching her sister. With her numbers and letters already she's practicing writing them, copying them from others she sees. The last 3 nights she has woken up with rash like bumps all over her legs and arms. A similar rash to what she had almost 1 year ago after eating peanuts. Which was weird since she had peanut products many times before. But to be safe we took her off all peanut butter and peanuts. Over Christmas she had little bits here and there, we wanted to test this allergy thing to see if it was freak last year or for real. There was never anything that showed she was allergic. So on Saturday I let her have peanut butter on her toast for the first time since last April. She was SO EXCITED!!!! But that night at 11 she woke up itching like crazy. We only clued in yesterday that it was most likely that. She's now so bummed out that she can't have it again:( She had a taste and remembered how yummy peanut butter is...Neither LeRoy or I have food allergies, so this is something brand new for us...it may take a long time to get used to it too.
