Days 3 & 4

So today is 2 days worth of filling you in. Yesterday we were on the road by 7:40 am and 1/2 hour later we were driving at the base of mountains towering over us. It was absolutely gorgeous. All day was BEAUTIFUL scenery and that continued through today too. So I can say now from experience that Montana is gorgeous and God is incredible in His creation. Yesterday we arrived in Salt Lake City in time to walk a few blocks for supper. LeRoy had a prayer going through his mind that somewhere on this trip he'd like to bring the van to a Toyota dealership just to get some codes reset to help the van run smoother through the hills and such. Wouldn't you know it...there was a Toyota dealership right next to our hotel, AND we didn't have to get on the road early today so he had time to do that. Thank you God for working that out. A bonus was that the mechanic told LeRoy how to do it himself so it was free:) That's always nice. Last night we were able to enjoy a pool again with the kids, and then had some cuddle time with the girls and watched Wipe-Out. What a great family friendly show. haha

So like I said earlier today we didn't have to start early on the road. We slept in, LeRoy went out with the van, I got the kids breakfast, and then we left around 10:30...once again through BEAUTIFUL mountains with all kinds of colorful fall trees. I hope the pics we took turned out. We got here to Moab, UT just after 3...the kids were in shock that we were done driving that soon. And it's HOT here. It was around 33 when we got here if I remember right, so LeRoy and the kids jumped into the outside pool, while I stayed on the side as the water was FREEZING!!!! This town reminds us of Jasper or Banff...a touristy town in the middle of beauty. Different little restaurants all over the place..including a really delicious Italian one we tried for supper. Even the kids loved it. And of course Gelato for dessert..never enough gelato.

Thankfully the kids got to sleep earlier tonight. They are in need of one LONG night of sleep. Tomorrow we are tourists checking out the Arches National Park and letting the kids RUN. And more relaxing will definitely be happening in and out of the pool.

Before I sign off I just have to share what Emma and Nolan each do as soon as we get into our hotel rooms every night. Emma BEGS to sleep on the floor, for some reason it's a treat to her. Today we convinced her to sleep in a bed as we have a 3 queen bed room for these 2 nights so there's more space for the kids to move around. And Nolan somehow finds the garbage can and thinks all our sandals need to go in there. Not sure how he thought of this, but we have officially moved the garbage cans to a higher place.

Oh, and in the last few days Nolan has learned how to sign please and all done:) So proud of my little man.
